A visit with Santa's reindeers

Last week the boys had a chance to meet a couple of Santa's reindeer. Nick was really excited to pet them! The deer happened to be at a train shop nearby so the boys also had fun watching the trains and a couple of race cars zooming past! It doesn't get much better than that for a couple of young boys!

Christmas party

We attended Eric's Christmas party this year as a family for the first time. What a time it was! The boys had a blast running around and playing with all of the other kids there. For a small, brief moment, we were all sitting together waiting for dinner.

A visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus

The boys had an important visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus recently. They were all excited to see the big man in red and tell him all of their Christmas wishes. Mrs. Claus was also there to lend her hand with some cookie decorating. Nick and Sam also had some fun doing a few Christmas crafts.

First snowfall

We had our first official snowfall this past week- just under 1 inch of snow fell, just enough to make some snowballs and practice throwing them into the trees! Nick and Sam had a ball playing in the little snow that we had and are looking forward to lots more snow this winter!

Ben is 9 months old!

Ben's first year is flying by! He had his 9 month well doctor check-up this week. He now weighs 17.13 lbs and is 29 1/2 " long. He's tall and skinny! He started out as the largest of the Horn boys but has had to use a lot of calories trying to keep up with his 2 big brothers! He is just about ready to crawl as you can see by the picture. He has no problems getting around the room by rolling, pivoting and scootching. Crawling will just make getting around that much faster for him!

More firsts for Ben

Ben's favorite holiday so far is Thanksgiving. He loved eating the turkey with all the fixings. He also was getting into the spirit of Christmas all decked out in his Christmas striped pj's sitting in front of the tree the other morning. And there's one more adorable picture of him playing peek a boo with Daddy in his swing.

Nick's Birthday

On Nick's birthday we did his most favorite thing- we went to the park to play! Nick's new love is the dinosaur rocker. He spends the majority of his playtime on it!

Happy 3rd Birthday Nick!

Nick's 3rd birthday was on Sunday. We celebrated the big day on Saturday with a party with Nick's friends. Nick asked for a Cars party featuring Lightening McQueen. The kids all had a great time coloring pictures of cars, making a car craft out of foam, and playing with one another. A great time was had by all! Happy Birthday Nick!! 3 Under 3

We can only say this for another couple of days! Nick will be turning 3 on Sunday.

Ben's First Haircut

Ben is really growing up quickly. He now has 2 teeth and he had his first haircut yesterday! He tolerated the haircut pretty well. He is starting to look like a little boy now instead of a baby!

Fall Fun

Last week we spent an enjoyable autumn afternoon at Lions Park. Nick and Sam loved playing in the leaves and Ben giggled his way through a swing ride. This is the park that Nick always requests when asked where he would like to go. All of the play equipment is sized perfectly for him!

Halloween 2009

And finally, it's time to go Trick or Treating! Everyone dressed in their costumes without complaints and we were off to collect candy! Whew, what a night of fun!
