Christmas morning 2011

Finally, Christmas morning has arrived! Nick loved all of his airplanes, Sam got all things Star Wars and Ben was busy cooking up some breakfast, while talking on the phone. I wonder where he ever got that idea! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent with the Basile family. We always enjoy sharing Christmas Eve with our friends. We got home just in time to hang our stockings and leave out a plate of cookies for Santa Claus!

Christmas Eve morning

Nick, Sam and Ben were all so excited for Christmas to arrive. They had a difficult time controlling themselves and staying out of trouble the days leading up to the big day! Nick actually told me on Christmas Eve later in the night that "he was about to blow". And I believed him!

Zoo Lights

We also spent an evening taking in the Zoo lights. It was a beautiful night, not too awfully cold. The boys loved the lights and even got to mail a letter to Santa Claus!

Jolly Days at the Children's Museum

Eric had some time off from work the week before Christmas. One of the days we spent some time at the Children's Museum taking in the sights of the Jolly Days exhibit with our friends Ella, Sam and Sarah.

Christmas 2011, Part 1

The weekend before Christmas we traveled to Illinois to celebrate Christmas with the Schraufnagel and Horn families. It was a fun, loud and crazy, great time! The boys were definitely spoiled from their grandparents, aunts and uncles! We had a great time spending the weekend with everyone!

Gingerbread house

We had fun building and decorating our gingerbread house!

Little elves at work!

The boys are taking an active role in preparing for Christmas!

Christmas tree pictures

It's not easy to get 3 active boys to stand still in front of the tree AND look at the camera AND smile, all at the same time! Nick is becoming quite a photographer. He took Mommy and Daddy's picture with Sam and Ben. Not bad for a 5 year old!

A visit with St. Nick

We had our annual visit with Santa Claus this year at the Zoo. The Indianapolis Zoo puts on a fantastic breakfast with Santa that we all enjoy complete with crafts, cookie decorating and candy canes! Sam and Ben made a craft specifically for Santa and were happy to deliver it to the big man in red!
