IU, here comes Nick!

With a few tears, from me!, a lot of nervous excitement and a whole lot of sweat, we moved Nick into his dorm room on the campus of Indiana University!  

He is living on the 3rd floor sharing a room with his friend from high school, Calvin.  The dorm has no elevator, hence the sweat!  After getting Nick moved in and somewhat settled, we went out for a late lunch and then said our goodbyes.  It was so hard to leave him, but I know he is going to do great things at college AND, he is only an hour away! 

We are so happy for Nick and can't wait to see what he accomplishes this school year! 

We all know who Nick is going to miss the most!

 

Happy Birthday to me!

The good thing about having a summer birthday is the warm weather for frozen custard!  We celebrated my birthday with sushi at our local Happy Kitchen and Ritters frozen custard.  The perfect night spent with my family. 

 

1st day of school!

Summer just goes by too fast!

Baseball in Nashville

Sam had one final baseball tournament in Nashville, TN just before school started.  Eric and I both went with him for baseball and a little time on Broadway listening to live music.  Sam was the starting pitcher in the final game of the series.  When the game began there was a light drizzle.  Sadly by the bottom on the 1st there was a steady rain and the game was called but not before Sam had a chance to bat.  He was the lead off batter with a double!  He made his way around the bases to score.  It was fun to see the team all having so much fun together!
