Fall Break 2019

The boys had a week off for fall break in mid October.  We went to our favorite fall destination, Brown Co. and rented a cabin for the week like we've done before.  Except this time we brought along Ruby and Louise!  Bringing them added a new dimension to our vacation.  They were so happy to get to come along with us!

We hiked with the dogs a lot and then left them at home for a zip-lining adventure!

The artists in the Nashville area were in their residences during the month of October and open for visitors.  We stopped by a studio that created beautiful home items out of reclaimed barn wood.  Their teenage son had a red falcon that he captured and was training.  It was quite interesting to learn about how he was training the falcon to hunt with.

Fishing at the state park.

October

Eric and Ben went to a scout campout.  Ben loves Cub Scouts and is looking forward to becoming a Boy Scout this winter.

Nick played soccer this fall.  His team was co-ed for the first time.  They played hard and Nick enjoyed being the goal keeper, a position he did quite well with!

Nick also umpired a lot of Little League games during the fall ball season.  He really liked umpiring this year and earning some money!  He's so good with the smaller kids, and the coaches appreciated his talents as well.

Sam played fall baseball.  He did well pitching, catching and at bat.
It's been fun watching Sam play.  He puts his whole heart into each game and is a great leader on all of his teams.

Nick and I ran a 5K together, well kinda together.  We rode together in the same car.  He left me in the dust pretty quickly at the start!

Ben and his 3rd grade Arbor Day tree.  He checks in on it often!

Eric and I went to his 30 year high school class reunion!
It was fun to meet a few of his friends from high school and hear some stories, too.
