Late September

We wrapped up the month of September with Sam's senior pictures!

Homecoming for Ben.  He went to dinner and to the dance with his friend, Abby.  It's fun to see them all dressed up!  It was a beautiful evening and they both enjoyed the night.

Ben and I care for the cats at the Humane Society.  Ben is quite the cat whisperer!  His calm and quiet demeanor is just what the cats need to come out of their shell.

Family Weekend

It's family weekend at IU!
We rented the cutest little cabin in Brown Co. for the weekend.  Nick and Phoebe came over for a grilled steak dinner on the patio on Friday night.  Then Sam went back to campus with Nick and stayed with him in his dorm room for the weekend.  Saturday's football game was IU vs. Illinois.  We had a big tailgate with Nick's friends, it was a lot of fun to see so many kids from high school, now at college!  IU had an amazing game and whomped Illinois pretty good!

The next day we met up with Nick and Sam at Lake Monroe for an afternoon on the water.  We rented a pontoon boat and had fun exploring the lake.
Ben missed out on the lake, he headed back to Indianapolis and met his friends at the racetrack for the IMSA race.

When we pulled into our tailgate spot this tent was right next to us.  Eric felt right at home!

Nick!

Eric had a meeting somewhat close to IU on Friday afternoon. So, we made an overnight of it.  Eric dropped me off to hang out with Nick for the afternoon while he attended his meeting.  Later that night we took Nick out to dinner and enjoyed a visit.  It was so good to see Nick!  It feels like he's been gone for 6 weeks, but really it's just been 17 days, haha.
He and I explored a nearby forest for a hike and did a little shopping.

A trip to St. Louis

This past weekend we traveled to St. Louis to celebrate Ella's 4th birthday and Davy's first birthday!  Alex and Angela's backyard was the ideal place for all of us to gather.  Alina and her family were visiting from Texas.  We got to meet their new twin girls, Stevie and Joni.  I was in heaven with so many babies to be held!  Our family just keeps on growing!
The following day we stopped in Springfield to see Grandpa Dan and Grandma Jill.  We had a lovely visit with Jill's boys and their families.  Sadly I didn't take any pictures!
