Christmas celebrations in Illinois

The weather didn't cooperate earlier in the month to get together at our home for a big gathering.  We went to Grandma Bonnies instead to exchange gifts and to enjoy an afternoon visit. It's always good to catch up with Grandma Bonnie! 

We also saw Oaklynn and Lane and their families later on for dinner.  It was a quick trip to Illinois, but always an important trip to take to see our family.

 

Besides Skiing....

We ate out at our favorite places including Grubs Steakhouse and Sammy's Bistro.

On our off day we drove into Salt Lake City.  We hung out at the mall before going to the Utah Jazz game.  

Ben is scheming  a plan to get this swingset/table into our backyard!

Happy New Year!

Let's Ski!

We had a beautiful ski in ski out condo this year next to our favorite lift.  It had a locker room to store our skis and provided a place to get ready.  

The boys went too ski school the first 2 days where they skied some tough terrain.  The last 2 days we skied together, kinda.  Ben stuck with Eric and I, Nick and Sam wanted to venture off on their own.  Deer Valley hadn't gotten an over abundance of snow, like last year when they had record amounts!, but it was still plenty for us.  We had a fun time on the slopes and were happy to leave for home, in one piece!!
