Pinewood Derby

Sam and his super fast Pinewood Derby car, and his last race as a Cub Scout!

Ben was very proud of his award winning Shark car!  

He received the award for the most realistic car.

Nick volunteered his time as a Boy Scout at this year's Derby.  He also entered a car in the Outlaw race, a special race for non Cub Scouts, and won for fastest car!  There are no real rules to follow with the outlaw race, it just has to fit on the track!

Then it was off to school, dinner out at PF Chang for his favorite sweet and sour chicken, and back home again to open presents!

Ben had an awesome day!

On the weekend Ben had a party sleepover with his friends.  

We took the group to play games and eat at Dave and Busters.  Then back home again for cake, an epic Nerf gun war, and not much sleeping!

Ben requested a chocolate chip cookie cake with a beach scene!

At age 9 Ben has a great love for his dogs.  He loves to play Minecraft and Plants vs. Zombies video games.  He becoming quite the piano player and basketball player, as well.  He's very loyal to his brothers and always has a hug for his mom and will still crawl into our laps for some snuggling.  

Odds and Ends

This is Ben in the morning.  The school bus comes too early for his liking at 7:25.  He starts each morning like this.
