Halloween

Ben was our only trick or treeter this year.
He met up with his friends and collected so much candy dressed as a shark!
He also wore a shark hat for his piano concert.
Stash, our piano teacher's cat, likes to listen when Ben plays the piano.

A beautiful crisp and frosty morning!

More Fall Break

Monday we took off to our favorite fall destination, Brown Co.  Brown Co. is only a little over an hour away, but it feels like we are in a different state out west!
This time we rented a cute cabin in the woods on a large parcel of land.  The cabin had a fire pit, hot tub, pool table and 3 dishwashers!  Haha.  It didn't have an automatic dishwasher and the boys got tired of me saying "we have not 1 but 3 dishwashers!"  Ha!
We hiked, rode ATVs, Zip Lined, shopped in Nashville, played board games, and just hung out together for the week.

 A look back... They've grown a bit!
This was our first trip to Brown Co. back in 2008.  Nick was one and Sam was just 4 months old.

This was 3 summers later.

Another reason to love Brown Co., we can stay in a Ruby friendly cabin!

Nick's girlfriend, Phoebe came down for a night to join us.

Our guide.  These turkeys had the best time together, Eric and I followed them in their ATV during the tour.  Many times they made me quite nervous with their silly driving antics!

Ruby was right at home.
Until next time Brown. Co.....

Fall Break

Fall break is one of my favorite weeks of the year.  The kids are out of school, Eric is off from work, and the weather is usually quite nice where ever we might travel to.
This year we began our first weekend of break in Illinois.  We met up with my college friend Eileen and her family for tailgating before the Illinois football game against Purdue.  It was so fun to see Eileen and catch up with her and her family.
Illinois won in overtime!
Let's go Illini!

After the game we drove to Springfield for a night and a special visit with Grandma Bonnie. We ate at Ben's favorite place, Bob Evans!

Playoffs

The end of the season is here.  The Eagles won their first playoff game against North Central!
It was so much fun.  Leading up to the game, the parents decorated the player's cars while they were having a team dinner.  We all gathered with signs, cowbells and flags to see the team bus off to the game.

Another picture from the local paper!

Unfortunately the team lost the next game to Noblesville.  That ended their season.
What a fun ride!  One we are so very grateful that we could be a part of!
