1st day of school

Here we go again!

Ben is in 4th grade at the elementary school.  His day begins 45 minutes before his brothers.  Ben's all thumbs up and ready to learn!  or maybe just go see his buddies!  

Sam and Nick are in 5th and 6th grades.  This is the first year in middle school for Sam.  He is ready!

Nick is eager for the high school football season to begin!

End of the summer fun!

 Summer is coming to an end, or maybe just a pause during the daytime hours for school.  On our last week of freedom we had some fun adventures!

We went to the Indianapolis Zoo.

 Ben overcame his fears and rode the roller coaster!  He loved it and looks forward to riding again very soon!

We took a trip to the outlet malls to shop for me!  and do a little back to school shopping, too.

We can still fit!!  Kinda. 

We spent a day at the Children's Museum.  The newest exhibit is made for our boys!  It's all sports and legends and all outdoors!  They loved it!  So did I!  It was pretty warm that day, we can't wait to go back to explore and play some more!

The boys all had an overnight summer swim party with their friends during the summer.  Here's Ben and his buddies.

 And summer isn't complete without a trip to the Indiana State Fair!

Middle School

 In our town middle school begins in 5th grade.  Kids are required to have a personal lap top computer, they have lockers and change classes.  Big stuff for our 10 and 11 year olds!  

They are up for the challenge and amaze us with their signs of maturity and responsibility.

They are growing up before our eyes!

Part 3

Our final night we stayed in Rising Sun, IN at a campground on the Ohio River.  It was a very fun and active camp site!  We weren't there long enough to partake in all of the activities that were offered but the kids did enjoy riding their bikes, mini golf and the playground.  There were lots of families there so they also made a few friends during the evening.  

Before we camped for the final night we stop off at Noah's Ark.

Last summer Sam and I saw an advertisement for a life size Noah's Ark near Cincinnati.  We thought it looked pretty interesting so we added it to our itinerary for this trip.  

It was really cool!  

The view of it from the outside was my favorite.  The inside was a museum that told the bible story of Noah and the flood.  

None of us are ready to invest in our own RV just yet, but we all agreed it would be fun to take another trip in one!  We learned a lot about RV'ing and ways we could improve upon a future trip!

Back home and back to the reality that summer is coming to an end and school will start up again next week!
