Grace

Our niece Grace was in the Indy area for a fashion show.  The boys and I went to show our support and see her in action!  She's quite sassy and is a lot of fun to watch strut her stuff on the runway!
I was so very proud of Nick, Sam and Ben.  They patiently sat and watched the show and cheered on each one of the models.

Grace and her mom, Chrislynn stayed the night with us after the show.  We stayed up late eating snacks, sharing summer vacation stories and laughed a lot!

A trip to Cincinnati

Cincinnati is only 2 hours away and we finally took advantage of that fact and visited for the weekend.  The Cubs were in town and we went to the Great American Ballpark to take in a game.  Unfortunately the Cubs lost, but we still had fun!  We also went to the zoo and the aquarium.  Both of which were quite lovely!  We all look forward to another visit in the future!

Ben has an obsession with bamboo right now!
We have a small bamboo plant that sits on our kitchen counter.  Ben's hoping it grows to be this big someday!

First day of School!

5th, 6th and 7th grades this year!
How can this be possible!
These 3 keep on growing and amazing us each day.  I can't wait to see what this school year brings for them.
Go make a difference in this world, boys!

Our little bus stop is growing....

One last fling!

We had one final push to do some fun outings as summer vacation came to an end.
We went to the Colts training camp.  This was our first time going in all of the years we have been Hoosiers!

Nick, Sam and Eric watched some of the practice, while Ben and I explored the rest of camp!
We found the Lombardi Trophy, which was very cool!

The boys and I took a trip to the zoo.
Sam with his favorite animals, the penguins.

Sloths are the new exhibit this summer.
They didn't do too much!

One last pool party friends sleepover for Ben and his group!

We rented a pontoon boat on the Eagle Creek Reservoir which was a lot of fun and something new for us.  I think we will be doing this again next summer!  We brought a picnic on board and cruised around the reservoir for a relaxing afternoon.

And of course summer is not complete without our annual trip to the Indiana State Fair!

Those silly, stinky boys!
