Let's go Pacers!

We had the unique opportunity to attend the Pacer's playoff game from the luxury of a suite!  Some of Eric's colleagues got together and made the arrangements.   While the Pacer's unfortunately lost, we still had a good time.  The dessert cart in the 3rd quarter was my favorite!  

 

Indy 500

The Indy 500 is always a favorite day for us!

This year Ben brought his friend Cavan and Eric and I brought our friends Dave and Debbie! When we first arrived at our parking spot a couple of hours before the race, the weather turned and it began to storm.  We waited out the rain in our car for 2 hours, digging into our lunches and snacks to pass the time.  After the all clear, we headed into the grandstand and to our seats to watch the race.  There was an exciting finish with the winner Josef Newgarden winning his 2nd 500 in a row in a dramatic fashion, taking the lead in the final laps.  

 

Spring Finale

Nick and I attended the high school's Show Choir Finale.  The Finale showcases all of the Show Choir groups competition performances along with a lot of individual's talents of singing, dancing and playing instruments.  Nick's girlfriend Phoebe is in Show Choir, along with a few special friends of our family.  I'm always so impressed with the talents of these young kids!

We've known this group since practically day one of our arrival in Indiana.  Us young moms met at the library baby story time in 2007.  We all had our first babies and hoped that we might have an opportunity for a picture like this in 17 years!

Go Eagles!

Sam has had a good season pitching for the Eagles.  It's always a good time playing ball with friends from school!  We love going to to the games and watching him play.  

Sweet Ruby Sue

Ruby is always up for posing for the camera.  She is the sweetest and thinks that everyone who comes over is there to see her!   

She is patiently waiting for school to let out for the summer and for the boys, and their friends, to be around more!

Sam decided he liked driving the Jeep, so that will be his vehicle to drive.

It sure will be nice to have more time in the evenings now that I won't be driving Sam to baseball practices, and I know he will enjoy his freedom and the ability to pick up food whenever he wants!

One Lucky Mother!

I am one lucky mom, raising Nick, Sam and Ben has been my favorite job of all time! 

We spent the day with Grandma Bonnie, dining on pizza and watching the Pacers win.  It was a delightful afternoon together!  Ruby came along for the fun.

The boys gave me flowers and help me set up a new bird feeder! 

 

Aurora Borealis

Northern lights, in Indiana?!  Yep!  We were able to view the northern lights from our backyard over the weekend.  A solar storm allowed the beautiful sight as far south as Florida, in fact!  So fun!

I have memories of my Dad pointing out the northern lights from our rural home in Illinois as a child.  I was never sure if that was truly what we were seeing or if he was just pulling our leg.  Now I kinda think he might have been right!

 

Spring Baseball

We have been enjoying cheering on our favorite Eagle, Sam!  

He's having a good season, his team is fun to watch.  They have had quite a few wins, a couple of loses, too.  The dugout is always lively!
