ZCHS Mens Soccer Team

Nick trained all summer and made the freshman soccer team!  We are so proud of his hard work and excited for him to be part of the team as the goal keeper!

 

Sled Hockey

Grace and Uncle John came to stay with us for the weekend while Grace attended a sled hockey clinic nearby.  The boys and I got to watch Grace and her team scrimmage at the end of the clinic.  What an inspiring experience for the boys and I!  We were so happy to have the opportunity to support Grace in doing what she loves.  We also had the opportunity to watch the Para olympic team strut their stuff on the ice.  Wow!  They are so talented! 

 

Chicago!

We took a late summer trip to Chicago to see the Cubs play and to visit the Museum of Science and Industry.  Nick stayed home with friends to attend a soccer scrimmage and pot luck.  When we bought the Cubs tickets at the beginning of the summer we had no idea that Nick would be on the high school soccer team and there would be an event on Saturday evening!  Sam's friend Tim happily took Nick's place and joined our family for the weekend.  

The game was fun, even with the Cubs losing.  After the game we walked from our hotel to Eataly for dinner.  We ate at Eatly in New York a few years ago.  We all remembered eating there and loved going back!  We stayed at a hotel near the Chicago River, within walking distance to Millennial Park which we checked out before the game.  What a fun weekend getaway!

 

Back to school, already??

How can it be that the summer has come to an end?!  

Ben is entering 7th grade, Sam is an 8th grader!  

These 2 will be at the middle school together for one more year.  

Nick is a freshman at the high school, which doesn't seem possible!  But he is ready to take it on.  He and I attended back to school days at the high school.  Armed with a  map and his schedule we found all of his classrooms, but never located his locker.  The high school is so big. 

Nick is already off to an awesome start.  He trained all summer and made the freshman soccer team!  We are so excited for Nick and ready to see him soar in high school!
