Go Colts!

Last Sunday Grandma Bonnie came to visit and we all went to the Colts game!  They played the Miami Dolphins and unfortunately lost a close one.  It was Grandma's first NFL game!  Everyone had a great time.  Nick was really into the game and didn't want to miss a single play, while Sam and Ben didn't want to miss out on any treats from the food vendors!

The retractable roof was open!  It was a bit warm while we were in the sun during the first quarter!

Ben and his cotton candy!

This lady was more than happy to share her sign with Bonnie!

Pre-game pictures.

We celebrated Grandma's birthday later that night with a St. Louis Cardinals birthday cake.  The boys were more than happy to help Grandma blow out the candles.

Camp Out!

Last weekend we had a camp out with our friends and their families.  Our backyard was the perfect setting for the 6 adults and 9 kiddos!

Setting up the campsite,

while the kids played!

After the sun set it was time for a camp fire and s'mores!

Next was glow sticks!

There was a small rain shower just as the kids were getting settled into their tents, but after that the sky cleared up and we enjoyed a full nights sleep in our tents!  Amazing!

The next morning the kiddos all woke up bright eyed and ready to take on the day.  The adults on the other hand.... This might just become an annual tradition for our 3 families!

Last week Ben got to spend an afternoon alone with Mommy and Daddy while his brothers were at school, the benefits of being the youngest!  We took Ben to the newly remodeled Playscape at the Children's museum!

There is an awesome new water table,

sand table,

and a brand new music room!  I think that Ben liked this area the best.

Labor Day weekend

We went down to Brown County for the long Labor Day weekend.  Nick and Sam had the Tuesday after Labor Day off from school too, so we enjoyed a nice, long time in a cabin out in the woods.

We went to the Wonderlab Children's Museum in Bloomington Indiana, which was a short drive away.  The boys and I had been there recently and they were excited to share the museum with Daddy.

Look what we made!

We spent a day at the pool at the State Park!

A visit to the Children's museum in Columbus, IN.

Our home for the weekend.  It was a lovely cabin set back in the woods just a bit with all kinds of hiking trails surrounding the cabin, a huge yard for playing football and kick ball, and a fire pit, too.  Inside there was a pool table and lots of space for playing all kinds of board games.

Gathering firewood for the nights' bonfire!

A trip to Brown Co. is not complete without a fishing trip at the Brown Co. State Park!

Papa Bear, aka Daddy, was determined to lead his family to the perfect fishing spot!

And we found it!

The fishing excitement soon faded after about 10 minutes when nothing was caught and the boys' hunger got the best of them!  That left Eric and I holding the fishing poles!

A beautiful hike around the lake.
