We spent the week together in Brown County, a short hours drive from our home. We rented a cabin that was surrounded by wooded trails, just perfect for 3 little boys to explore!
It was such a relaxing week away from our rigid schedules of school, sports and work!
Monopoly stops for no meal, it just gets pushed aside!
There were lots of football games on the front lawn!
We had amazing weather the entire week, high 70's during the day and 60's at night. We had a campfire with s'mores every night!
Nick found a toad out amongst the wood for the fire.
A trip to Brown County is not complete without a stop off at the State Park for a little fishing.
The boys enjoy fishing, for a short time. They fished longer this outing than I remember them doing so in the past. They are definitely growing up!
Ben always has a smile for me.
Next up we hiked around the lake.
Ben and I enjoyed taking our time on our hike. We stopped to take a few pictures...
there was a caterpillar to hold,
a tree to hold up,
a giant root to push down,
and a beautiful lake with beautiful fall foilage to pose for a picture for Mommy!
We spent a day in Nashville, IN shopping a bit and enjoyed a horse and carriage ride around the city.
Ben fed Avalanche, the horse, a special treat to thank him for the ride.
