We are ready!

A visit to the zoo

On a rare Sunday we found ourselves with a free day!  Nick made plans to golf with a buddy and Sam, Ben and I went to the zoo!

It was such a fun afternoon!

  

Easter weekend

We started the Easter weekend at the Pacer's playoff game. 

Unfortunately they lost, and then went on to be swept by the Celtics.  But we had fun anyways!

Easter Saturday the boys colored eggs, with Ruby close by.  This is Ruby's favorite spot to sit when we are around the table. 

Easter Sunday morning the kids hunted for eggs and ate lots of jelly beans.  Then we were off to mass, then home for mandatory pictures with mom! 

Later that afternoon we enjoyed a ham dinner.  It was a quiet, enjoyable day spent together. 

Days 3, 4 and 5 on the Disney Dream

The next morning we woke up and were docking at Disney's own island, Castaway Cay.  It was so amazingly beautiful.  There aren't any inhabitants on the island, just the Disney Cruise ships that come stay for the day.  

Sam's favorite character is Stitch.  He's had this jacket for a couple of years now, just waiting for a picture perfect moment like this one!

While we were on the island we enjoyed the beach, took a bike ride and were treated to a 360 degree of the island after climbing the watch tower.  

Eric, Sam and Nick snorkeled while Ben and I played in the surf.

We had lunch on the beach and the boys ate lots of ice cream cones!

It was everything we had hoped for in an island beach day!

Arghh!  It was pirate night later that night on board.  We had pirate bandanas waiting for us in our rooms when we returned from our day ashore.  

After dinner there was an amazing fireworks show, the boat stopped in the middle of the ocean and let off 100's of beautiful fireworks!

The next day we were at sea for the entire day.  It was a relaxing kind of day.  The boys swam a lot in the pool, ate tons of ice cream cones, played mini golf, shot baskets and rode the water slide.  Sam and Eric went to a movie.  There was a movie theatre on board showing first run movies.  They saw the latest Avenger movie and loved it!  

Each night Eric and I went to the live performance.  Each night it was something different.  Our favorite was Beauty and the Beast.  It was like watching the performance on Broadway!  It was so entertaining!  We couldn't convince the boys to join us, so they would stay on the 11th deck where the pool, water slide and all of the sports action was and we'd pick them up after the show and head to dinner!  It was a fun compromise now that they are a little older and can be a bit more independent!  

We all over ate the entire week.  When we asked the boys what their favorite part of the cruise was, Ben answered Zachy, our waiter!  He was truly amazing.  He and the other wait staff followed us nightly to each of the restaurants.

One last look from our balcony.  We were back in Florida, getting ready to leave the cruise ship and return back home again.  Dreaming of cruising again......

Disney Cruise days 1 and 2

Disney Cruise here we come!!

After a short drive on the Disney motor coach we arrived at Cape Canaveral and were ready to board the Disney Dream for our 5 day 4 night cruise.  

The ship was so beautiful!  And a little confusing to us until we figured out where our room was and acclimated ourselves.  Then we were ready to cruise!

After a peaceful night of cruising we arrived at the Bahamas.  We chose to disembark the boat and head to Atlantis to soak up the sun and check out the water slides for the day.  It was the perfect pool day!  We were at Atlantis last year for spring break.  Ben waited a year to build up the courage to ride the Leap of Faith, the most fearful water slide ever!  He did it with his brothers and loved it!

Sam and I enjoyed walking through the aquarium, The Dig.

We boarded the boat again and were off for the night.

We were treated to an incredible sunset.

Spring break 2019!

For spring break we traveled to Orlando, Florida for 2 nights, then embarked on a Disney Cruise!

We stayed on Disney World property at the Beach Club resort and had an enjoyable day at the pool.  It was quite cold when we left Indiana, it began snowing the day after we left!  We were all so ready to see the sun again!

We had breakfast both mornings with the characters.  Daisy is my favorite!

Sam brought his Goofy hat for Goofy to sign!
