Let's go Pacers!

The Pacers are having an incredibly successful season and we are all here for it!  We were lucky enough to get tickets to the 3rd Finals game against The Thunder.  The Pacers won!
Sadly, they lost in game 7 to the Thunder.  What a fun ride for all of Indy!
Ben was away at Boy Scout camp this week having all kinds of adventures of his own.

June

Summer is underway!
We hosted Lane and his parents for a fun filled weekend with a preschooler!  We swam a lot and had fun playing all sorts of games.
Ben had surgery in mid June to correct pectus excavatum, or his sunken chest.  Ben did very well with the surgery and the recovery.  He had one night in the hospital and then came home the following day.  It will be a low key kind of summer for Ben as he recovers.

Nick's graduation

The end of May we spent a lot of our weekends celebrating the class of 2025 with graduation parties and a special recognition and blessing at church.

Nick graduated on Sunday afternoon.  The ceremony was held outdoors at the high school stadium.  Over 500 young men and women received their degrees!  We are so proud of Nick!

Nick chose his own clothes for under his gown ;-)

It's hard to believe that Nick is a high school graduate.  He is so ready to move onto the next chapter of his life, college life at Indiana University.
After the ceremony Eric drove Ben to scout camp for the week at Camp Ransburg.  Sam went to work, and Nick and I took Ruby for a walk at Lions Park.  Our old stomping grounds.  The park where he spent many afternoons playing with friends at the playground and playing and umpiring baseball for many years on the diamonds.  It was just right.
Later that evening we went to eat at Rick's Boathouse to celebrate our new graduate!

Happy 30 years of marriage to us!

This is 30 years of marriage.
A trip to the beach and a stay at a fun resort, The Pink Shell in Fort Myers.  With our 3 teenage boys who were genuinely excited to come along.  A beautiful dinner on the beach.  Bike rides for ice cream.  Days spent playing on the beach.  A Pacer's playoff win.
Perfection.
Love.
Blessed.
All squeezed in between the last day of school and graduation day.  Because, life.  We have a full summer ahead but recognize the importance of celebrating us.

Graduation Party!

We had a graduation party for Nick on Saturday.  Lots of family made the trip from Illinois, special family friends and neighbors were here, and at least 50 of Nick's buddies from school stopped by.  It was quite a party!  Sadly I didn't take any pictures, I was too busy visiting with everyone!  Nick requested food from Chipotle and cupcakes.  Both were a big hit.

It was touching to see so many people coming over to celebrate our boy!

The night before the party we were getting things set up, including the boys' favorite T.V. channel!

I had a fun time putting together pictures for the party.  Unfortunately the wind was uncooperative and kept blowing these cute vases over!

Pictures of Nick thru the years lined the driveway.

I was grateful to my sil Angela for taking these 2 pictures!
