Thanksgiving

Aunt Ellen, Nathan and Andrew came to visit us for the Thanksgiving weekend.  The boys all swam on black Friday.  They thought it was a much better way to spend the day than shopping!

We also took in a Pacers' game.

It's always fun time to watch them play!

Happy 11th Birthday Nick!

Nick asked for a pool party for his 11th birthday, in late November.  So, we kept the pool open super late this season and granted him his birthday wish.  He had 6 friends over to swim and celebrate his birthday with a sleepover party!

Those crazy boys!!  It was a little too chilly for me to swim but they sure didn't seem to mind the cooler temps!  They swam in the early evening, and then again after dark!

On Nick's actual birthday we went out to dinner at Nick's favorite restaurant, Red Lobster where Nick enjoyed crab legs!

Nick's favorite birthday gift came from Grandma Bonnie.

Nick's first band performance

Nick is in the band!

Nick is playing the baritone and was excited for his first performance, an informance where the band played their songs while educating the audience on the ins and outs of the middle school band. 

I got the chance to try out Nick's baritone when the parents got a quick lessons from their kids on how to play their instrument, and then attempted to play a song, Hot Cross Buns.  I'm so impressed how well the kids all play together and have a new appreciation for the baritone!  It's really hard to play!

Halloween

Halloween is such a fun holiday with 3 little boys.  

Ben was the loan pumpkin carver this year, which was OK by him!

Sam and Ben had piano lessons on Halloween and played their spooky music on the cobwebbed piano!

Nick was dressed as a red man, his favorite color, Sam was Stitch, from Lilo and Stitch, Ben was the Wither from Minecraft, and our neighbor friend Finn was a T-Rex.  We trick or treated in our neighborhood and the neighborhood next to ours.  Needless to say we had an obscene amount of candy by the end of the night that the kids reluctantly shared with mom and dad!
